A Prefeitura de Sorocaba realizou “Operação Ferro-Velho”, nesta terça-feira (14), e interditou temporariamente dois estabelecimentos que funcionavam irregularmente, de um total de cinco vistoriados. Eles somente poderão reabrir após regularizarem a situação administrativa.
A operação é feita pelo Setor de Fiscalização de Posturas, da Secretaria Planejamento e Desenvolvimento Urbano (Seplan); com o apoio da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM). O objetivo é coibir casos de receptação de materiais sem procedência ou alvo de furto, além de checar denúncias e identificar possíveis ocorrências nos âmbitos criminal e administrativo.
As interdições ocorreram em estabelecimentos na Vila Nova Sorocaba e Jardim Nova Esperança. O primeiro teve que encerrar as atividades devido à falta de licença e foi multado também por não ter sistema de monitoramento. O segundo acabou interditado pelo mesmo motivo e ainda recebeu multa por obstrução da calçada e falta de sistema de monitoramento.
Outros três endereços que também foram fiscalizados na ocasião, mas estavam fechados no momento da ação. Além disso, os locais não apresentavam características de comércio. Dois deles estão localizados no Jardim Nova Esperança e um na Vila Barão.
Somente em 2024, 190 ferros-velhos foram fiscalizados, sendo emitidos cerca de 90 autos de infração, entre multas e notificações, e 15 interdições. Neste ano, foram 20 ferros-velhos fiscalizados e 10 interditados temporariamente.
